New M-Rock Stone Applications in the Kitchen

New M-Rock Stone Applications in the Kitchen

Everyone can think of the traditional areas around their homes where stone may be installed: foundations, fireplaces, accent walls, columns, and sidewalks. There are new and growing trends to add stone veneer in and throughout your home and we are a big fan of this trend. A few areas we love to see stone added to the interior is kitchen backsplashes and bar fronts. Now many people may be intimidated by stone projects but we want to give you the confidence and the tools to take on and tackle an M-Rock stone project!

When getting started in any project it is always good to create a plan and we have 5 steps to get you ready for your M-Rock stone project.

The five simple steps are:
 1) Create a plan!

2) Create a Deadline!

3) Schedule it!

4) Do it!

5) Reward Yourself!

Ok, so now you are ready to plan it. Depending on your project you are going to need measurements for flats and corner stone’s and you may need some other prep materials. Your M-Rock flats need to be ordered with a square foot measurement. (Height X Width) It’s always important to add a few extra feet for waste and cuts. Now M-Rock corner stone’s come in linear footage. If you are doing a backsplash you may not need corner pieces but you can always call M-Rock and talk to customer service 866-896-7625. Now your plan is in place, the next step is creating a deadline!

A backsplash or bar surround should be an easy weekend project, so pick a weekend when you can devote time to your stone project and do it! M-Rock offers many tools to help you in your project from youtube videos to downloadable instructions called a Rock-It-All that are available at www.m-rockstone.com. Once you have completed your backsplash or bar, reward yourself! Throw a party to show off that hard work!
